Remember your first cellphone. If you're old enough, that memory will include a pull-out antenna of some kind, a vestigial RF tail whose genes were passed down from walkie-talkies and field radios of old. And it seems that Apple, presumably before building its multi-zillion-dollar antenna lab, was also experimenting with pop-up antennae on its old MacBook Pros. Here's a photo of a heretofore secret prototype MacBook Pro with built-in 3G, up for sale on Ebay and currently requiring a bid of over $11,000 to win the auction.

Facebook used to hack bank accounts

Most of us use Facebook to keep in touch with our family and friends, posting up our thoughts and daily goings-on without giving much thought after that. Well, Iain Wood has other plans with Facebook, having spent up to 18 hours each day online, where he works out passwords from personal information that are posted on social networking sites by his acquiantances and friends. In fact, Iain targeted folks who were living in his block of flats, where he used his friends' personal details in order to get beyond basic security checks, hacking into their bank accounts in order to siphon away more than £35,000 across the time span of 2 years.

HTC Holiday Prototype spotted on Craigslist

AT&T fans will rejoice after hearing that the HTC Holiday is indeed on its way to AT&T. A prototype of the Holiday was spotted on Craigslist and the man who bought it uploaded the images to a thread over at XDA. The My AT&T app makes it quite obvious that this device is indeed on its way to AT&T and is still in the testing phase.

T-Mobile HTC Ruby to feature 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 4.3-inch qHD display

Move over HTC Sensation - T-Mobile's HTC Ruby is ready to take the spotlight!  Rumors and pictures of the HTC Ruby have been floating around for a few weeks now, but our friends over at TmoNews have been able to scrounge up a few details about the phone's internals.  Preliminary specs on the HTC Ruby are said to include a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch qHD display, Bluetooth 3.0, 8 and 2 megapixel cameras and 1GB of RAM to keep all those apps humming without any issues.

Swarm robots attack your bookshelf, win AAAI Oscar

What's more frightening than a swarm of robots. An award-winning swarm of robots trained to raid your library - that's what. This SciFi-worthy outfit of mechanized literature swindlers, known as the "Swarmanoid," landed themselves the Best Video Award at this week's AAAI (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence) conference in San Francisco. The video in question features the mixed bag of eye-bots, hand-bots and foot-bots in an Oceans 11-style bookcase heist. Of course, there are probably easier ways to reach the top shelf (e.g. a ladder), but none that get us thinking about the end times quite like this.
