Toshiba's Recently Leaked Ultra Slim Tablet To Be Called The Excite?

AndroidPolice scored a tip from one of their readers on some recent trademark filings that could give us a name to go along with today's leak on Toshiba's upcoming ultra slim, super sexy Android tablet. According to the filings, the tablet could be called the Toshiba Excite although we don't really have anything that specifically pegs the new tablet to this name so I guess you could call it more of a hunch. Toshiba's last effort at an Android Honeycomb tablet fell completely flat with me. It's overall massively thick size made me feel like it was some kind of ruggedized tab or something manufactured by Nerf.

Video: HTC Sense 3.5 in action on the upcoming HTC Bliss

HTC Sense 3.5 may not be a huge leap forward, but it does bring some noticeable changes to HTC's custom UI.  Leaked images of Sense 3.5 seemed to raise quite a few questions.  While we don't have the answer to all of them, a new video just might.  XDA.cn has just uploaded a video to their YouTube channel which gives us a five-minute look at the new UI changes running on the HTC Bliss and how things are different in the latest version of Sense.  Anyone who's already played with the HTC Sensation or HTC EVO 3D will find most of the tweaks in Sense 3.5 to be simply cosmetic.

Rumor: iPhone 5 to have a metal chassis and a 3.5-3.7-inch screen after all

Thanks to what numerous rumors have told us so far, we've been working under the assumption that Apple's upcoming iPhone 5 will have a 4-inch display. However, that may not be the case after all, according to (what else?) yet another iPhone-related rumor, this time coming courtesy of DigiTimes. Apparently, the iPhone 5 having a 4-to-4.2-inch touchscreen wasn't something based in facts, rather representing nothing else than the market's expectations regarding the smartphone.

HTML5 Developer Conference – Sept. 27, San Francisco

Today, the Silicon Valley International Game Developers Association is announcing the world's first-ever HTML5 developer conference. The conference, which will take place on September 27 at the Westin Hotel in San Francisco, will bring together thought leaders from the HTML5, JavaScript and mobile developer communities.
