It's Android OS version stats time again and it's an end of an era – the era of Gingerbread dominance. Jelly Bean (Android 4.1 and 4.2) finally did what ICS (4.0.x) never managed – get more market share than Gingerbread. Gingerbread in its current form (API level 10) debuted in February 2011, while the initial version, API level 9, came out in December 2010, but all GB phones were updated.

Opel bringing Monza concept to Frankfurt (video)

Opel may be bringing this Monza concept to the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall, but it's unlikely the Monza concept will spawn a production coupe to fill the void left by the Calibra and original Monza. Opel says the concept shows the firm's focus on "efficiency and connectivity," which will be applied to the brand's next generation of models. The Monza concept features a "ground-breaking powertrain solution" and the connectivity with its infotainmant system represents a "quantum leap" in development. According to Opel/Vauxhall CEO, Karl-Thomas Neumann, the Monza "covers a whole range of subject areas and elements.

HTC One Google Play Edition Spotted at Bluetooth SIG

Apparently the folks who have been keeping tabs on the HTC One Google Play Edition have discovered that this particular smartphone was spotted over at the Bluetooth SIG. This particular model picked up certification approval for Bluetooth on July 5th, which was not too long after the application itself was filed on June 18th. The HTC One Google Play Edition apparently carried the model number PN071, which would reflect the fact that this happens to be a stock Android handset that can be purchased over from the Google Play Store.

LG Save The Date Event This August 7 At NTC

One of Samsung's major rivals in the consumer electronics category happen to be from their own country, and it would be none other than LG. In an email blast that was sent to reliable press channels (including ourselves), it depicted a somewhat velvety looking cloth in the background that has a rectangular space "pressed" into the background, where that empty space is filled up with the words "Great 2 Have You!", with the venue being cited as New York City, and August 7th is set to be the happening date.
