We all know Koenigsegg makes blisteringly fast exotic cars. The latest hyper machine from Sweden is the Agera R, and Koenigsegg wanted to see just how fast its two-door toy could go. With the help of an (unnamed) third party to verify the results and a Racelogic VBox, the Koenigsegg team set out to make some high-speed passes at its Sweden-based proving ground. The results.

Honda details 2012 Insight refinements, MPG improvements ahead of Frankfurt

Honda is set to unveil a lightly revised version of the European Honda Insight at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. This 2012 Insight will feature greater efficiency gleaned from substantial aerodynamic work (check out that new grille and front bumper), reduced engine friction, improvements to the CVT and the air-conditioning system. What does all of that translate into on the road. Honda says that the tweaks allow the 2012 Insight to produce 96 g/km of CO2, or 57 mpg on the European cycle. As GreenCarReports.com points out, the European cycle typically yields results that are around 10 to 20 percent higher than the U.S.

Sony SA-NS500 HomeShare speaker knows how to work a room

Finally, a HomeShare speaker with built-in AirPlay for wireless streaming from your iThing or Apple TV. It'll cost you though: when the NS500 arrives in stores around late October or early November you can expect to see a booming $399 price tag strapped around its logarithmic neck. Sony assures us you'll get some heavyweight audio for that money, thanks to four drivers and a sub-woofer positioned in a "unilateral manner" to pump David Guetta into every nook and cranny.

AR.Drone control finally comes to Android, lazy quadrocopter enthusiasts rejoice

The folks at Parrot have been promising us an Android app for the AR.Drone since pretty much day one. Well, it certainly took long enough (it's been over a year since the app was demoed at Google I/O), but pre-made quadrocopter fans no longer have to reach for unofficial solutions to pilot their unmanned vehicle with their Droids. Sadly, games for the flying augmented reality platform are still MIA, but at least you can fire up AR.FreeFlight and have the $299 UAV tear around your block and annoy your neighbors. But, it shouldn't take long for some one to whip up something fun with the SDK.

If you're the type of Android user who only buys a device if it can be rooted, you may want to consider the Motorola Droid Bionic as your next purchase. The device is expected to launch on the 8th of September but only a week prior to its release, it seems that the device has already been rooted, as evidenced in the screen capture above that shows the "#" – an indication that verifies root access. Sprint Rebukes Claims that AT&T/T-Mobile Merger Will Create Jobs

One of the main selling points AT&T has been touting for its merger with T-Mobile has been the creation of new jobs, a point reiterated in their response to a Department of Justice complaint against the proposed deal. It's easy to understand why AT&T would throw around the J word in light of our current economic situation. Jobs are at a premium, and as the US government scrambles to address unemployment issues a proposal that puts new jobs on the table should, theoretically, gain some support.

Samsung MV800 – Camera With Flip-Out LCD Display

Samsung has been exploring the dual-view concept for some time, and after releasing a previous cameras using two LCD displays (one small, one big), it came to the conclusion than a single 3" (432×240) LCD tilt display was even better: The Samsung MV800 was born. Having one display which can rotate by 180 degrees is better than two fixed ones for a couple of reasons: First, you don't have to compromise for a smaller image on the front. Secondly, you can use every angle between 0 and 180 degrees.

The 75% increase will impact subscribers who purchase subsidized smartphones, tablets, netbooks and notebooks, and the ETF will continue to be prorated as it is currently. The change is set to go into effect on September 9th according to a company spokesperson, and the timing is anything but curious.

Additionally, this Sammy will feature dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, the latter being an uncommon (though entirely welcome) feature for smartphones, and lending credence to its high-end specs.
