Everyone who is sick of hip-hop branded earphones that rattle the brain with über bass, mentally raise your hand. The people responsible for California Headphones obviously feel that way because they did something about it with the Laredo (which is reviewed here) and Silverado headphones. Both are specially tuned for rock and country music. Their slogan says it all: "Stop pretending to be a rap star." Gotta love that.
Right away, you notice something unique about the less expensive Laredo headphones: They look like they came from another era. There have a retro quality in looks and materials.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo goes Lego racing

The Hyundai Veloster Turbo is quite the nimble runabout. So much so that you may say it has "toy car" characteristics. Well Hyundai has taken that notion in a creative direction, creating a stop-motion race made of Legos. It is a between a Lego-ized Veloster, and a nondescript racer of the blocky persuasion.
The video is in celebration of the latest version of the iPhone and iPad driving game Asphalt 7: Heat. The game has been available on iTunes since June 21 of this year. As part of the promotion for this game, Hyundai is running a competition that began yesterday, and goes through Sunday, November 25.
