Leaked photos show off HTC Butterfly 2 front panels

The HTC Butterfly S has been on the market for only a few months, but new evidence suggests HTC is already hard at work on the phones successor – the HTC Butterfly 2. While the original HTC Butterfly and Butterfly S both sported a 5-inch display, the Butterfly 2 rumors claim that the new device will be equipped with a 5.2-inch 1080p display. The phone will also be getting a bump in performance with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, though we do not know how much RAM or internal storage the device is expected to have.

Koenigsegg planning hypercar with one horsepower per pound

Koenigsegg planning hypercar with one horsepower per pound

If this seems crazy (and awesome), that's because it is. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, Koenigsegg is planning a car called the One:1 – as in, one horsepower per pound. Head honcho Christian von Koenigsegg describes this new hypercar as a "money-is-no-object venture" for a dealer in China. A one-to-one power-to-weight ratio certainly sounds ridiculous, but it's not all that far-fetched. "Other cars have achieved this but by measuring dry weight – no oil, no water, no fuel," von Koenigsegg said in his interview with Bloomberg.

Things not getting better for HTC as company posts quarterly loss for summer season

Hipster trolls, Robert Downey Jr., top-ranked Android handsets — no matter what HTC does, the company just can't seem to win. The report is in on the OEM's 3rd quarter 2013 financials and HTC execs and analysts are once again seeing red. For the most recent quarter, HTC posted a net loss of NT$2.97 billion ($101 million), well over initial estimates that had the company losing NT$1.71 billion on average. Overall operating loss for the quarter was NT$3.5 billion after NT$47 billion in sales. The loss was again over analyst projections, while total sales fell short of the expected mark.

Sony Power Cover CP 12 Case For The Xperia Z Ultra Revealed

Sony Power Cover CP 12 Case For The Xperia Z Ultra Revealed

Back in the middle of the year, Sony took the wraps off their Xperia Z Ultra smartphone. The handset featured some pretty impressive hardware, but we suppose the main selling point of the device would be its display which measures a whopping 6.44", beating out Samsung's Galaxy Mega 6.3. Safe to say the phone is a beast and now Sony has announced a new Power Cover CP 12 designed specifically for the Xperia Z Ultra in mind. The Power Cover CP 12 will be both a case for the phone, as well as a cover, a stand, and to top it off will be a battery pack as well.

The latest video from the crew at Petrolicious covers one funky Swede - a 1989 Saab 900 SPG. Produced from 1978 to 1998, the 900 enjoyed a long history, and thanks to its iconic look, it's quickly becoming a modern classic for the off-kilter car enthusiast. The SPG, short for Special Performance Group, makes this a particularly rare find, with owner Jordan Melville saying, "I didn't even realize what I had at the time.". Just like fashion, whenever a new season kicks in, there is a change for your wardrobe. In the world of hunting or fishing, it would be new gear that tend to claim you could bring your game to the next level, never mind the fact that your technique and lack of expertise is what's holding you back. But the marketers do not want to tell you that – no sir, so that they can shift more products. Or at the very least, this could be the train of thought for some of us.

Hyundai deferring car payments for furloughed federal workers

Since the US government shut down early this morning, more than 800,000 federal employees could be furloughed without pay until a deal is reached to start the government back up. To help affected employees cope with the temporary layoffs, Hyundai is expanding its Assurance program to defer all of their auto loan or lease payments until they're called back to work. "We recognize the impact on family budgets that the furlough will drive," says John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America.

Following the reveal of the new GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, the next in line is Cadillac, which is set to unveil the new Escalade on October 7 in New York. And in the lead-up to the reveal, the company has released this third teaser image, giving us a good glimpse of the 'Slade's interior. Or part of the interior, we should say, because while the image above clearly shows the new dashboard and center console, as well as parts of the front seats and interior door panels, the Escalade is most certainly not a two-seat coupe.

Bugatti does up a special Vitesse for Lang Lang

Bugatti does up a special Vitesse for Lang Lang

It may be a bit of a stretch to find similarities between pianos and sportscars, but bear with us. Both are made to perform, both have pedals and wheels (albeit of radically different size), and both tend to cost around the same. Unless you're talking about a Bugatti, which would set you back more than any piano this side of a Bösendorfer with serious pedigree. Well, Bugatti has just drawn an even closer parallel with this latest edition of the Veyron Vitesse roadster. And not by applying some black lacquered trim pieces, either. When celebrated concert pianist Lang Lang visited the factory at Château St.

The Alin Accessory Will Put An End To Misaligned Screen Protectors

When it comes to applying screen protectors on your phone, it can be quite a nerve-wracking moment because one wrong move and your screen protector is essentially ruined, and to be honest those things do not come cheap. What happens is usually a rushed job which ends up with the screen protector being a little out of alignment, which for the OCD in us can be extremely frustrating, but that's where TYLT's Alin comes in. Short for "alignment", this is essentially a little plastic gadget that you can use to clamp onto the edge of the iPhone 5 which provides you with a ridge that will let you place the screen protector on the phone perfectly.

Playing video games on Xi3's Piston living room PC / game console

Right off the bat, running games on the Piston - like with all PCs - is a varying experience. Lighter games, resource-wise, don't encounter any real issues. The heavier it gets, though, the more the seams show. The first seams I saw on Piston were in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. After some healthy graphics tweaking, the game ran full screen at just below 30 fps. While assuredly playable, and likely a touch more impressive looking than its console cousin, Black Ops 2 seemed to test the machine's limits.

The Nokia Lumia 525 is the official name of the recently rumored Nokia Glee, according to a tweet by evleaks. The Lumia 525 is the replacement of the hugely successful Lumia 520 and, naturally, is going to be a budget Windows Phone handset. The Nokia Lumia 520 was launched in February this year and is one of the reasons Windows Phone marks a growth in its market share in Europe.
As a result, The Nokia Lumia 525 is going to aim and build on the foundation that the Lumia 520 has set throughout the year. Happily, the phone has undergone the popular GFXBenchmark test suite, which gives us a glimpse at its specs.

Shed a little extra light on the subject with the Pocket Reflector

Smart phones seem to be the camera most frequently used these days.  Many of them have weak flashes that don't do as good a job illuminating your subject as you'd like.  The Pocket Reflector, available from Photojojo, is a portable light reflector that directs extra light onto your subject for a better photo.  It folds up into a 5″ pouch that's small enough to fit in a pocket or bag, and it unfurls into a 12″ circle.  One side is silver, to reflect bright, concentrated light for a spotlight effect; the other side is white, for a a more diffuse, natural looking effect.

Belkin Dual Car Charger with Lightning to USB Cable review

Belkin Dual Car Charger with Lightning to USB Cable review

Getting power on the go used to mean carrying a bag-phone the size of a large loaf of bread and a power port plug to keep it juiced. Nowadays, we have much better battery chemistry, but for us power-users, the battery in a gadget may not last through a full day of use. If you're spending any time in a vehicle with a 12-volt power system, plugging in an adapter to get a midday top-up can mean the difference between missing messages and easily making it through the day. The Gadgeteer team was offered the Dual Car Charger with Lightning to USB Cable from Belkin, and I was selected to get it.

GM can't keep up with most popular pickup orders

With the market for pickup trucks at its best since before the recession, General Motors can't afford any hiccups with the launch of its new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, but it sounds like the popularity of V8-powered trucks is causing some supply-chain issues. Bloomberg reports that GM is experiencing a shortage of 5.3-liter V8 engines because an unnamed parts supplier has been unable to keep up with demand. This is leading GM to restrict the number of V8 Silverado and Sierra trucks that Chevrolet and GMC dealers are allowed to order.
