Amazing LaFerrari tribute watch more intricate than the real thing (video)

Amazing LaFerrari tribute watch more intricate than the real thing (video)

The Enzo had no companion watch, but its successor, the Ferrari LaFerrari, does. Created by Hublot "entirely in parallel with the car" and "alongside the Ferrari teams," the MP-05 LaFerrari tribute watch is a similar test of how much gobsmacking gadgetry can be packed into a chassis. The manually-wound watch has 11 barrels set in a spine down the center that work together to provide a 50-day power reserve. So yes, it does need to be wound, but only once every seven weeks.
Hublot says the movement, engineered in-house, has 637 components.

Canon Rumored To Relaunch EOS M System With New Cameras And Lenses

Canon Rumored To Relaunch EOS M System With New Cameras And Lenses

When it comes to mirrorless cameras, Canon seems to be one of the last few manufacturers to jump aboard the bandwagon, undoubtedly ceding market share to their competitors such as Olympus and Sony who beat them to the punch. While the Canon brand is a strong one, the EOS M does not seem to be the raving success that Canon probably had in mind which is why rumors of Canon possibly relaunching the system might not seem like a stretch of the imagination. These rumors were sent to the folks at Canon Rumors indicating that the Japanese company had plans to "relaunch" the EOS M system in the coming months with possibly two new camera models.

Leap Motion 3D Gesture Controller Launched Delayed To July 22

Leap Motion 3D Gesture Controller Launched Delayed To July 22

Earlier in the week, we read on how Leap Motion and Google have come together to deliver a far out Google Earth experience. The thing is, you will need a Leap Motion sensor to go through a pseudo-Superman like experience, but the sad part about all of this is, an unexpected delay has cropped up. It seems that the Leap Motion sensor which would pave the way for such interactivity has been delayed until July 22nd later this year. Chief Executive Michael Buckwald mentioned, "As a company, in good conscience, we couldn't sacrifice the testing process. We have to push back the date….

Dodge Li'l Red Express drag truck packs 100 PSI, 1,000 horsepower

Dodge Li'l Red Express drag truck packs 100 PSI, 1,000 horsepower

The Dodge Li'l Red Express is one awesome quandary of the late '70s. Back then, Dodge had taken to building all sorts of oddball trucks and vans with strange equipment packages, but the Li'l Red Express was something entirely different. Engineers crammed a honkin' 360 V8 yanked from the company's police interceptor line and plopped the four-barrel-fed block between the fenders, inadvertently creating the world's first sport truck in the process.

2013 Toyota Me.We Concept Looks Like An Elongated Mini

2013 Toyota Me.We Concept Looks Like An Elongated Mini

I am not quite sure about you, but does the Toyota Me.We concept 2013 that you see above somehow seem to remind you of a far more rugged and "fierce" model of the Mini from BMW, albeit sporting a more elongated chassis. The entire Toyota Me.We concept has to do with a collaboration between French designer Jean-Marie Massaud and the Japanese automotive giant, of course.

Audi supercar not yet approved, R4 not quite dead, still room for an MPV

According to a report by Autocar, all we thought we knew of the in-development Audi supercar we might not actually know. A piece in Car and Driver, not even a month old, said the diesel-hybrid halo car was in the design stages, would get the engine from the R18 E-Tron Quattro and its carbon fiber tub. Now we get word that that while the coupe is indeed being designed, it hasn't yet been signed off and there's no business case for it yet.

Swype no longer in beta, arrives in the Google Play Store at the introductory price of $1

You guys may remember Swype when it came bundled inside a handful of Android handsets back in the day (like the Droid Eris from '09). Shortly after, we saw Swype launch as a public beta and many have scratched their heads wondering when or if Swype would ever release in the Google Play Store. After all this time, the unthinkable has happened — Swype is now officially available in the Google Play Store. Launching at a special introductory price of $1 (a free trial version is also available), I honestly can't say I ever thought I'd see the day. In reality, it hasn't been too long since Nuance acquired Swype for $100+ million back in '11.

Swype 1.5 For Android Launched

If you have been using Android-powered smartphones for the longest time until now, I am quite sure that during the first few days after moving on from a normal feature phone, it would take some getting used to to a virtual keyboard on the touchscreen display. However, the advent of Swype, an intelligent virtual keyboard that works far faster than having to manually "punch" those keys yourself, where your thumb slides over the letters required to make up the word, and the most accurate suggestion will pop up.

Shuttr Remote Shutter Release For Smartphones

Shuttr Remote Shutter Release For Smartphones

Yes, we have seen our fair share of offerings on Indiegogo before, which is a crowdfunding site, and here we are with yet another interesting idea that might change the way the world uses smartphones to capture photos on the go. I am referring to Shuttr (and no, there is no typo involved here), which is a remote shutter release for smartphones which can be hooked up to a user's keychain. This would in turn make life a whole lot easier for impromptu shutterbugs to capture photos on the go.

Sony DEV-50 Digital Binoculars: Amazing But Pricey

Sony DEV-50 Digital Binoculars: Amazing But Pricey

Sony is back with new digital recording binoculars in the DEV-50 model. Sony made the case with the previous DEV-3 series that electronic binoculars can do things that optical ones just can, like zooming in and out seamlessly to easily spot and observe a moving subject. Digital binoculars can also capture photos and record/play movies natively in 3D since they have two complete camera and viewfinder systems – one for each eye. The new model improves Sony's previous approach by making the DEV-50 much smaller and 2.5X lighter than the Sony DEV-3 (which was huge and weighted 2.65lbs).

Analyst Believes iPhone 5 Sales Have Been Disappointing

Analyst Believes iPhone 5 Sales Have Been Disappointing

Analysts usually fire off their opinions in notes to investors, they often make some interesting observations and comments. Steve Milunovich, an analyst at UBS, believes that iPhone 5 sales have been disappointing because its not a killer product. Now I am sure many of you would disagree with him, but he bases his argument upon the idea that iPhone 5 sales have been hit by the popularity of Samsung's gigantic phablets, which offer greater screen real estate. He goes on to say that the new iOS 7 design due for release this summer won't be enough to get people excited, in fact he believes that Apple won't be of any excitement in this quarter.

Bentley poised to join four-door coupe game?

Bentley poised to join four-door coupe game?

Bentley may be all hot and bothered with plans for its finally approved ultra-lux SUV, but the marque's attentions may not solely be limited to a two-box range expansion. That's according to AutoExpress, which quotes company CEO Wolfgang Schreiber as being interested in launching a 'four-door coupe' variant of its popular Continental range (pictured). According to Schrieber, "I definitely wouldn't say no to the idea. with the new Flying Spur, we have a model that supports the Mulsanne, and a coupe with four doors could sit above that.".

Elastic Touchscreen Could Be The Future

Elastic Touchscreen Could Be The Future

Touchscreen technology has certainly come a long way since it first made its way to the market, and just about any self-respecting mobile device these days ought to be equipped with its very own touchscreen display. There has been advancements made to this area of technology over the years, and recently, we read about how Fujitsu managed to offer new levels of interactivity with their touchscreen, and here we are with the Obake from Dhairya Dand and Rob Hemsley of MIT's Media Lab, which is actually stretchable or elastic in nature, paving the way for numerous forms of possible manipulation.
