Unfortunately, one big group of users is being left out of the fun. Specifically, those with phones based on Exynos 4 are being told that builds for that suite of devices will remain at nightly status indefinitely.

AT&T has announced that the Jelly Bean update for its Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is now available for the public to download. The upgrade won't completely overhaul your experience, but it will bring the goodies Google introduced such as the ability to expand and act on notifications right from within the notification pane. Other changes will include easier home-screen manipulation, improved keyboard and word suggestion speeds, and more. Unfortunately the upgrade is not going out over the air, so if you want to grab it you'll need access to a PC.

HTC One launches in Glamour Red, available exclusively at Phones4U in the UK

Well, I guess HTC can stop pretending that there is no red HTC One now. The company has just revealed that the phone would be headed to the United Kingdom in a new color — Glamour Red — and that those who want it would only be able to get it from one place. That place is popular retailer Phones4U. This edition of the HTC One is the same as every other non-Chinese version, though we aren't sure whether or not this particular model will come in standard 32GB flavoring or the more sweet 64GB.
Exclusivity in the United Kingdom doesn't mean the phone has no chance of making it anywhere else, though.

NVIDIA Shield Delayed Due To "Mechanical Issue"

NVIDIA has just announced that it will delay the shipment of its SHIELD Android game console to “July” (from June 27) as it has found a mechanical issue in (what is probably) the first batch of product. According to NVIDIA, a “3rd party” component is the root cause. We don't know anything about the severity of the problem but since NVIDIA builds all the critical components, it can't be that bad. Also, the term “mechanical” would indicate that it has something to do with the body rather than the electronics, which is always reassuring.

Samsung officially announces Galaxy S4 with LTE-Advanced

Samsung informally mentioned that it was working on bringing a version of its Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone with LTE-Advanced radios to market, but they just made things a bit more official with today's press release. Samsung is calling it the world's first commercially-available smartphone with LTE-A, and they claim it is capable of reaching speeds of up to double of what is possible today. Of course, actually reaching those speeds would require a carrier that has deployed an LTE-Advanced infrastructure, something most carriers will look to do in the months and years to come.

Twitter's Vine service that served up short video snippets must have sparked off an idea in the minds of Facebook executives, as they mulled whether their Instagram purchase could also do more. 6.44″ Sony Xperia ZU (or Z Ultra) gets photographed yet again, pencil-on-touchscreen action depicted

Sony's first phablet will be called Xperia ZU, or Xperia Z Ultra (the jury's still out). And apparently, it could get official as early as tomorrow, during an event at which the Xperia C will be announced. The Xperia ZU has seen a fair number of leaks over the past few weeks, but what we have today is another actual picture showing the handset in operation (the first one having surfaced a couple of weeks ago).

Wells Fargo has just announced earlier this morning that their customers now have a choice to receive receipts over a text message whenever they perform a transaction that warrants a receipt at one of the company's own automated teller machines (ATMs). Earlier this year, Bill and I reviewed several of the Panasonic KV-Series document scanners. We both agreed that they were very capable pieces of hardware. The only issue I had with it is that Panasonic had not developed OSX drivers for those of us who use Macs, a huge oversight in my opinion. Garmin was quickly chased out of the Android smartphone game when it tried to release a bevy of Nuvi-branded smartphones in conjunction with ASUS, but the navigation company has decided to give Android another go. The catch is it's not a phone this time — it's a standalone GPS unit called the Garmin Monterra. And it costs $650 (or $700 if you want world maps). That's quite a steep price considering the device doesn't house cellular radios. It has your standard suite of sensors and connectivity features otherwise, including Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC and Ant+.

In May of 1903, Buick began work on its first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, the first example of which was sold to a doctor in Flint, Michigan. That first sale was appropriate since later on, Buick became known as a "doctor's car." The Model B is the first of 11 cars chosen by Buick to highlight each decade of the company's 110-year history. The 1916 D-45 Touring with a six-cylinder engine was Buick's highest seller that year, and helped push overall sales past six figures for the first time, making Buick the top-selling automotive brand. In 1931, Series 50 got an eight-cylinder engine, which helped the company survive the Great Depression.

Backup camera rule pushed to 2015

Once again, the federal mandate for backup cameras has been delayed. According to Automotive News, the rule requiring backup cameras in new cars is being pushed back to 2015, reportedly because regulators are now considering giving safety rating incentives to vehicles equipped with this new technology. US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, who will be stepping down from his role once a successor is confirmed, said that more analysis of the rule's cost to the auto industry as a whole is necessary before the mandate is officially issued, Automotive News reports.

Alleged LG Optimus G2 screenshots show onscreen keys

A trio of leaked screenshots that allegedly come from the LG Optimus G2 have appeared revealing a bit of what LG has been cooking for its upcoming Android flagship smartphone. The images in question show that the company hasn't altered the look of the Optimus UI too much, but has rather given it a few refreshing touches here and there. What the screenshots do reveal though, is the resolution of the Optimus G2. The smartphone's 5" screen is now confirmed to have full HD resolution .
