Woman Sued For Negative Review On Yelp

Watch out for those words, it could cost you thousands of dollars. A woman from Virginia , Jane Perez, wrote a negative review on Yelp. The review was for Dietz Development, a contracting company that apparently worked on Perez's home. Christopher Dietz, the owner of the company, is now suing Perez for $750,000.

LG's 55-inch OLED HDTV Gets FCC Approval

LG's 55-inch OLED HDTV Gets FCC Approval

LG's elusive 55-inch OLED HDTV has been the subject of countless rumors and speculations. First unveiled at CES 2012, the 55-inch OLED HDTV is reported to be around 4mm thick, and weighing just 16lbs. Contrary to our previous report, it seems that the gargantuan HDTV from LG is launching soon. That's because an LG device with the code 55EM9700-UA appeared recently in FCC's database.
As seen in the image below, the device appears to be sporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.

Hyundai breaks all-time sales record

Hyundai breaks all-time sales record

Less than a week into the month, and Hyundai has already announced that it has set an all-time sales record for the year in the US. Beating last year's best-ever total of 645,691, Hyundai's record-setting numbers are up eight percent through November, and it has broken monthly sales records in every month so far this year excluding June and October, which includes an all-time monthly record set in March of 69,728 units. Helping to improve Hyundai's sales this year, new models like the Veloster and Azera have posted massive increases over 2011, while the Accent, Elantra and Tucson have all seen pretty big gains, too.

Galaxy Camera with Verizon LTE support outed by Samsung product page

Galaxy Camera with Verizon LTE support outed by Samsung product page

It was all the way back in late November when we caught a glimpse of an FCC filing that showed a new Samsung Galaxy Camera with support for Verizon LTE. Low and behold as it looks like a product page on Samsung's website has just outed the device before it's been officially announced, which of course at this time, has been taken down. Thankfully for us, the Internet works way faster than an intern at Samsung who accidentally flipped the switch on the Verizon LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Camera's product page.

2013 Ram 1500 tows away Motor Trend Truck of the Year laurels

Motor Trend has named their 2013 Truck of the Year, and this time, the coveted honor goes to Chrysler's 2013 Ram 1500. The Ram unseats the Ford F-150 pickup from Truck of the Year with a package that the magazine argues fulfills owners' needs for everyday usability as much as worksite utility. MT points out that the 1500's available air suspension is a quantum leap in the light-duty pickup segment. This system can raise for more ground clearance or lower for highway driving.

Google Stops Offering Free Version Of Google Apps For Businesses

Yesterday, it was an “unsubstantiated rumor.” But today, it's becoming a reality. Google has announced new changes to its Google Apps for businesses. And our fears were finally confirmed, as Google will no longer offer a free version of its Google Apps for businesses, at least for new users. This means that Google is now offering a single option for businesses, and that is the premium version, which costs $50 per year for every user.

Is the Holden Ute back on for the US?

When not salivating over the prospect of the forthcoming C7 Corvette, GM Performance enthusiasts are busy speculating over the Chevrolet SS. The Holden Commodore-based performance sedan recently made its debut in NASCAR form, with the production model slated to launch on the weekend of the 2013 Daytona 500. Part of the rumor-mongering for this rear-wheel-drive V8 sedan was talks of US-bound translation of the Holden Ute – also the artist formerly know as the Pontiac G8 ST (pictured). Australian outlet Adelaidenow.com cites GM Authorty's findings that General Motors filed to renew its trademark the "El Camino" name.

Honda and Acura throw $700 million ad accounts to the Mad Men

In the world of advertising, it's the equivalent of the Chicago Cubs winning the pennant or a Republican carrying Massachusetts in a presidential election. American Honda Motor Company has decided to hold a review of its $700 million ad account, which has been held by Santa Monica-based RPA agency (formerly Rubin Postaer and Associates) since 1986. That is an eternity in the ad business. And ad industry professionals who have long slathered over the prospect of handling Honda never thought it would budge from the agency.

Audi has used its racing program to trickle technology down to its passenger cars, but how about some racing design making its way into your living room. The Audi R18 Ultra Chair will be on display at Design Miami until December 9, and it was developed in a similar fashion as the R18 racecar, including optimal comfort and weight savings, constructed using carbon fiber and aluminum. The Ultra Chair was first unveiled at the Milan Furniture Fair earlier this year as a prototype, and designers used the input of more than 1,500 people to help fine-tune the level of comfort.

Black Ops II Hits $1 Billion Milestone

Black Ops II Hits $1 Billion Milestone

Making a hit video game is definitely a job that, while extremely difficult and tough, is still able to rival – and even surpass those in Tinseltown. What am I referring to here. Well, it seems that analysts need not worry about the Call of Duty franchise to be at peril from fatigue among gamers, considering how the recently released Black Ops II has passed the $1 billion sales figure in just 15 days. Yes sir, this is definitely far faster compared to some of the big Hollywood franchises like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Harry Potter.

HoodieBuddie protects your kids' hearing while keeping them warm

Your kids won't be losing their earbuds with the HoodieBuddie jacket in kids sizes because they won't need earbuds.  These jackets use HB3 technology to build audio technology directly in.  There's a 3.5mm plug in a zipper pocket to plug in an MP3 player or phone and speakers in the hoodie.  Your kid can hear the music without blocking out ambient sounds and without you worrying about hearing damage from loud music from earbuds jammed into young ears.  The HoodieBuddies for kids are described as being for boys, but I'm hoping they just are using boys' sizes for reference.

This iOS lockscreen concept shows some promise

One of the gripes I have about the iOS lockscreen is the fact that apart from being able to launch the camera app directly from it and some media controls, there's not a lot I can do with it. It's a different story with Android due to its customizability, with some lockscreens allowing user to launch a variety of apps directly from the lockscreen itself, or having the lockscreen display information like the weather which saves time from having to launch the Weather app AFTER unlocking our phone.

Watch the Venom GT go from 0 to 230 MPH in under 20 sec.

The crew at Hennessey has finally gotten around to showing the world just how quick the Venom GT really is by pulling off a 0-230 mph sprint on runway. The best run took a scant 19.96 seconds to stick the speedometer at 228 mph. That's the kind of speed that will peal your eyelids back if you aren't careful. Of course, it takes some pretty lofty power figures to generate that kind of velocity.

Italian Immigrant Is Pretty Sharp, But A Few Degrees Short Of A Bullseye. The 2013 Dodge Dart is the most visible manifestation of the still-new monogamous relationship between Chrysler and Fiat, the Pentastar's savior from the depths of government-sponsored bankruptcy (or worse). If you'll recall, one of the big problems pundits, management and government officials identified with Chrysler's US lineup was its complete lack of competitive small cars.
Now would be a good time to mention that Dodge had a good thing with the original Neon.

UK tax collectors could be exempt from speed limits like police and fire

The UK Department for Transport is currently examining proposals that would allow additional services to legally drive over the speed limit. At the moment, only the police and fire departments and emergency medical responders can legally break the posted limits, but a recently submitted 90-page document that is "out for consultation" lists other services requesting the right to do the same. HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), which includes the tax man, wants its covert surveillance officers on the approved list.

Red. Red box. Red controls. Red speaker grill. Silver remote with - red buttons. I guess you have to be a confident company to make a speaker as red as the Geneva Sound System Model S speaker. But I have to tell you, the Model S is drop-dead gorgeous. You can't not notice it on any desk. It stands out that much (In fact, I have received more favorable comments about the Model S on my desk than any other speaker). While it also comes in black or white and even silver, I don't care! This speaker is made to be red. End of argument.
