Even More Droid Bionic Pics Expose One Big Battery

With a 4.3-inch display, dual-core CPU, and 4G LTE radio, the Motorola DROID BIONIC promises to be one heck of a phone. It also promises to be a big battery hog at the same time. So we should expect a rather big battery, right. And here it is pictured without the blurriness of shots we saw yesterday. We also get another pic from the front side of the phone showing us the redesigned look of the phone we have seen over and over again.

V8 Ford Transit connects with the fine art of drifting

Drift vehicles come in all shapes, from the ever-popular Nissan 240SX all the way up to Mike Ryan's Freightliner. Somewhere on that vast scale of driftables sits this V8-powered Ford Transit van, which can roast tires with extreme prejudice. It also sounds fantastic, whips up donuts faster than Dunkin and drifts through turns with grace.

Samsung Galaxy S II available in the US (unlocked, but will work on AT&T and T-Mobile)

While the Galaxy S II has already made an appearance at Samsung USA's website, the handset hasn't been officially released Stateside yet. However, if you want to buy it before any carrier gets the chance to launch it, you can do it now thanks to Newegg. The retailer is selling the Samsung Galaxy S II unlocked for $649.99. This particular version that's available at Newegg has 16GB of internal memory, and comes with quad-band GSM (850x900x1800x1900) and quad-band UMTS (850x900x1900x2100) connectivity – hence it's compatible with AT&T's and T-Mobile's networks (although you'll have 3G only on AT&T).

CTL intros new line of 'super-slim' LED monitors

CTL intros new line of 'super-slim' LED monitors

Last we heard from CTL, the Portland-based company was pushing the rather underwhelming 2goPad SL10. We may not have been impressed then, but CTL's attempting to win us over again, this time with a set of three new LED monitors. Available in small, medium, and large, the 22-inch LP2151, 24-inch LP2361, and 27-inch LP2701 all offer 1920 x 1080 displays, 1000:1 contrast ratios (5000000:1 dynamic), two millisecond response times, and HDMI and DVI inputs. They also sport a helpful anti-glare coating and are apparently a quarter of the thickness of "traditional LCD monitors" - whatever that means.

Android 3.2 Now Rolling Out for Verizon's Motorola XOOM

After word of an initial soak test and an updated support page, we are hearing reports from owners of the Motorola XOOM tied to Verizon's network that the Android 3.2 update has begun rolling out. For the uninitiated, the update most notably enables the XOOM's SD card slot, but will also enable a new “zoom to fill” mode for resizing non-native apps for display on Honeycomb tablets.

The updated app store offers a number of improvements, including the ability to search for applications directly from the new home screen. Users will be able to sort search results by name, price, rating, release date, best match and most popular. RIM also added quick access to “Games” and “Themes” subcategories directly on the new home screen. “Spotlight banners” will showcase hot new applications that RIM wants to highlight, too.

Droid Bionic gets friendly with its future roomate for Mr. Blurrycam

We know, we know - you're ready to be done with the Droid Bionic. After all, we've been lusting after this monstrosity guy for nearly eight months now, so is all of this building up to be a major disappointment. We're just as eager to find out as the next person, but here are some new images of the real deal to (hopefully) tie you over a bit longer. We've seen shots of the Motorola XT875 up close and personal before, but this is the first time it's been spotted snuggled up next to another phone. Hanging out next to the Samsung Droid Charge, the Bionic's slightly larger appearance lends credence to reports that it has a 4.5-inch display.

HTC Puccini screens leak, AT&T bloatware and number pad make an appearance

HTC's 10-inch Puccini tab's been poking its head out from the speculative shadows and now we have a few leaked screens to further whet your LTE appetite. The bevy of shots over on Pocketnow show the AT&T-branded Honeycomb slate packing a serious amount of carrier-installed bloat, with AT&T's Code, Family, MyText and Navigation apps joining the likes of Amazon's Kindle app, Cordy, Let's Golf 2 and NFS Shift. The OEM also appears to have tacked on a number pad to its virtual keyboard solution - a feature Sony's rumored to include in its own tablets - taking full advantage of the purported 1280 x 800 display.

Kindle gets its price slashed, what could this mean?

Kindle gets its price slashed, what could this mean?

So we all know that ebooks are starting to catch on despite the Kindle being around for so long. Perhaps its due to the rising popularity of tablets or the various improvements made to ebook readers, but either way if you're considering getting yourself a Kindle, perhaps there might be some pros and cons worth considering before jumping in with both feet.

Ubergizmo, Kindle gets its price slashed, what could this mean?

Sprint Conquers Low-End Phones With Fast, Cheap Android Device

Sprint Conquers Low-End Phones With Fast, Cheap Android Device

The Conquer 4G is a powerful device, and cheaper than most other comparable smartphones. (Photo courtesy Sprint). If you can't beat ‘em with power, beat ‘em with price. So goes the philosophy on Sprint's latest Android smartphone release.

Sprint announced Friday the Samsung Conquer 4G — Sprint's first 4G-ready smartphone to launch on its WiMax network — for $100. Add to that a mail-in rebate redeemable shortly after release, and the phone ends up costing a cool 50 bones.

Mercedes-Benz CLC rocks a baby CLS silhouette

Mercedes-Benz CLC rocks a baby CLS silhouette

No, this isn't a mule for the next-next-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS. What you're looking at here is another "four-door coupe" for the Silver Arrow lineup – codenamed C117 – that will probably come to life as the CLC-Class. These photos are a bit deceiving, since the added black cladding does add some extra heft to the vehicle's shape, but believe us when we say that this thing is smaller than you think. In fact, it's said to be based on a slightly longer version of the new platform that will underpin the refreshed A- and B-Class hatchbacks.

Jumptap illustrated the breakdown of iOS, Android, and Blackberry use across the United States. Do you live in an iOS, Android, or Blackberry state — or neither. From mobile ad network Jumptap comes this colorful infographic showing us which states lean more towards Android, iOS, or Blackberry dominance, or if they're primarily neutral. Pleasant change from those political right-leaning or left-leaning US maps.

From the map, it looks like Android tends to lead the way in the western United States, while the southeast is pretty smartphone neutral.

The first thing you will notice about the Moana PVD is that visually, it is not as large as its measurements suggest. At 44 x 16mm its not small but it is somehow a modern sized watch that seems classically proportioned. It is not flashy or blingy in any way but does exude a fair amount of style as you wear it, especially on the included soft black leather strap with red stitching.

Zagato going after Scagliarini over Fiat 500 design knockoff

If you scoped out Scagliarini's take on the Fiat 500 the other day and thought it looked a little familiar, you're not alone. Never mind that the company's name sounds suspiciously similar to the panel-beating department at Ferrari after which the 612 was named. No, the design appeared to rather unabashedly pilfer from the Fiat 500 Zagato Coupe unveiled in Geneva earlier this year. And the point is not lost on Zagato itself.

Ayrton Senna's title-winning McLaren MP4x6 up for auction in unique art installation

Ayrton Senna's title-winning McLaren MP4x6 up for auction in unique art installation

Every year, F1 teams design and build a new set of cars to start the new season. So what happens to the old cars. Well, that varies, but when the car in question just won the championship, it's usually kept intact. Sometimes the team keeps it for posterity, sometimes they gift it to the driver who'd just won them the title, sometimes they end up in museum or private collections. But not this one.
After Ayrton Senna won his third and final title in 1991, McLaren dismantled the MP4x6 with which he did it and gave the parts to an artist named Jay Burridge, who in turn transformed the car into the art installation you see here.
