Honda explores NSX's past with an eye toward the future

Let's take a moment to praise the original Acura NSX, a previously unimaginable coupe from an equally unimaginable source that, as Lexus did with luxury, put every supercar maker on notice. Only the NSX went further than anything Lexus ever did; after all, there's no clamor today for Lexus to make another car in the spirit of the LS 400.

Microsoft will be unveiling Halo 4 this month

Microsoft will be unveiling Halo 4 this month

Typically we don't cover console games, but the Halo franchise is an exception. Most of us have played — and still own — at least one of the seven titles released over the course of eleven years, maybe even the original Halo on PC (just admit to having an Xbox, it's ok, we understand). That said, many readers may be waiting anxiously for Halo 4, Microsoft's first full-fledged venture into the Halo universe without holding Bungie's hand. The new installment will be the first chapter in the new “Reclaimer” trilogy, developed by 343 Industries, a studio created by Microsoft to handle the Halo IP once Bungie signed off.

Watch an SVT Raptor be built on Ultimate Factories this weekend (video)

There's something inexplicably mesmerizing about watching a factory in action. Seeing the innumerable complex mechanisms mesh in perfect harmony to create the products we know and love is part of what makes shows like National Geographic's Ultimate Factories so interesting. Now the program is headed to Dearborn for a look at how the Ford F-150 Ecoboost and F-150 SVT Raptor come together on the line in crystal-clear HD video. The show will also spend time with both trucks out on the company's proving grounds, which means there's a good chance we'll see the Raptor bashing over various obstacles.
Consider us excited.

Fortunately for those of you who didn't get to experience it back then, will get to enjoy the game today.

Shareware Site Tucows Launches Cheap Wireless Service in Conjunction With Sprint

The folks at Tucows, who were once known for their applications (free, shareware or otherwise) repository for desktop operating systems are looking to introduce a new venture that’s interesting, to say the least. With the help of Sprint they have launched Ting, a pay-as-you-go service that gives users extremely good value compared to other PAYG carriers. One of the great things about Ting is how flexible it is. You don’t have to have text, data, or voice if you won’t want it. Some might just want data and text messaging, while others might just want voice and nothing else.

. Apple's aggressive litigation strategy against Android vendors over the past year has seen precious little return considering the huge investment it reportedly requires, and on Friday things took another turn south for the Cupertino, California-based technology giant. A court in Germany has issued a permanent injunction against the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, upholding a ruling issued in December. Online sales of the phones have been banned in the country, and Apple has removed the devices from its German website.

Samsung and Corning Team Up to Develop Lotus Glass

Samsung and Corning have announced a joint partnership that will see the two working together to manufacture Lotus Glass. It’s a tempered glass for OLED displays, not unlike Gorilla Glass, that will help save on power consumption and make displays look as good as they ever have. This rings true not only for mobile devices but televisions, as well. Samsung will use the new glass substrate on their devices but they will also offer it to other Korean manufacturers. It’s not clear whether or not Samsung will go beyond their home turf borders but we hope every OEM gets a chance to use this promising technology.

IPO filings aren't just a great way to raise money, they're also a perfect place for young CEOs and idealistic internet companies to grandstand and proclaim their altruistic motives. Buried deep in the IPO filing is a letter from Mark Zuckerberg to investors in which he lays out Facebook's mission and role in improving the world.

Another new use has sprung up – you can use it as the chassis for a phone. The device you see above was once a mere concept by Middlesex student Kieron-Scott Woodhouse. (That's about as fitting a last name as you could have for this project.)

Its name is the AdZero and it's made out of real bamboo. Each phone's block of wood is naturally unique. The woody nature contributes to how light it is with TechCrunch saying it weighs half as much as an iPhone 4S.

But as promising as Auburn Hills' new economy sedan is, what we're really looking forward to is what Ralph Gilles and company over at the SRT division can cook up. And the folks over at Motor Trend think they've got a pretty good idea of what to expect.
For the Dart SRT4, Dodge could go one of two ways: turbocharging the existing Tigershark 2.0-liter four, or shoehorning in the new all-aluminum 1.8-liter turbo four from Alfa Romeo. Since the latter would likely push the Dart SRT4's price up beyond $30,000 and competitive levels, the smarter money's on the former.
