Wii U Expected To Sell 25 Million Units In Its Lifetime, According To Market Research Firm
It is no secret that at the moment, Nintendo's Wii U console is not doing as well as it should. In fact even against the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, the Wii U appeared to be struggling, with many claiming the lack of blockbuster titles as one of the main reasons. However there are developers who are also staying away from the console because of that, which does seem like a pretty vicious cycle. In any case while it remains to be seen how many units the Wii U will sell in its lifetime, a market search conducted by DFC Intelligence has suggested that the Wii U will sell about 25 million units in its lifetime.

NPD: Xbox One Won First Round Of Sales Against PS4 In Australia
Both the Sony PS4 and Microsoft's Xbox One seem to be tangled in a bitter fight with one another, and there will be different victors in various regions around the world. What I can say about the Xbox One is this, in Australia, it seemed to have emerge as the victor in the first sales round against the PS4. This particular bit of information was gleaned from the statistics department of retail sales research firm NPD Group, where they claimed that 65,917 units of the Xbox One console actually moved within its first three days in Australia, which is a whole lot less than the 1 million figure we saw Stateside.

Fiat set to invest $12B on new models, stop Euro losses in 3 years
Naturally, you'd expect a massive automaker like Fiat to have an in-depth plan to exit the current European-market doldrums, and you'd expect that plan to include plenty of new vehicles to attract those precious buyers that still remain despite the financial downturn. And you'd be right, though Fiat does seem to have a few unexpected twists up its corporate sleeve. Perhaps the biggest shocker is a report that Fiat will completely drop the Punto, a car with mass-market appeal aimed at small-car buyers cross-shopping the popular Volkswagen Polo.

LG G2 struggling against the competition, sales lower than expected in Q4
LG went all out with the G2, a smartphone that competes against the best of the best. Many of you know the LG G2 is actually my favorite device right now. I use it as my daily driver and am more than satisfied with it (read my review of the LG G2). Is the phone all that LG wanted it to be, though.
Life doesn't seem to be so good for the Korean manufacturer. They have reported good sales, but not as good as they were expecting them to be. The LG G2 has sold about 2,250,000 units, which is several hundred thousands less than the 3 million units they were expecting to sell in Q4, 2013.

Epic prank aims to prevent DUI No. 6
What do you do about a friend whose drinking and driving problem has reached epic – five-DUI-infractions epic – proportions. Well, if you're a self-professed YouTube "prankster" you might do something to scare him straight. The subject of the video was allegedly completely passed out drunk, in his pickup truck, when his concerned, prank-pulling buddies scooped him up and deposited him in a staged hospital room for a little bit of tough love.

Popular flashlight app 'deceived' users into sharing location data
The maker of Brightest Flashlight has agreed to settle with the Federal Trade Commission on charges that the app "deceived consumers" into sharing location data with advertisers. While the app does allow users the ability to disable the reporting of location data to third-parties, sharing is on by default, rendering the option "meaningless," according to the FTC. The complaint claims that the app's privacy policy does not accurately disclose information on what type of data is being collected and how it will be used.

Feast your eyes upon it, and know that we'll have a lot more when it makes its official debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. First, you'll notice we're calling it "Z06" instead of "Z07." That's because Chevy isn't going to shake things up too drastically, despite a previous report from Car and Driver. Like the C6, the model will be called Z06, but there will be a Z07 package.

Huawei Ascend Mate 2 pictured by TENAA in China
Huawei Ascend Mate 2 has recently leaked revealing design and pretty detailed specifications. We already know the phablet will run on HiSilicon's latest Kirin910 chipset with a 1.6GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, Mali-450 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Naturally the Ascend Mate 2 will launch in China first. There it will be available in two models - MT2-C00 version (CDMA and GSM) for China Telecom and MT2-U071 (WCDMA and GSM) for China Unicom.
There is some controversy on the specs though. According to previous leaks via benchmark scores and even some live pictures, the Ascend Mate 2 is supposed to pack a 6.1x1080p IPS display.

Samsung Prepares SM-W750V Windows Phone 8 Smartphone Release For 2014
When it comes to smartphones, you can say that Android is the South Korean company's bread and butter, but Samsung too, has a stake in the world of Windows Phone 8, although the choice of handsets from them that run on this mobile operating system is paltry in comparison to the Android collection. The Samsung ATIV S has been a decent release, even receiving its Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update just last month, leading us to wonder whether Samsung has any more plans to support the world of Windows Phone 8 or not in due time.

Will Samsung release a phone with a fingerprint scanner next year?
Apple has done it, so you can expect pretty much everyone else to follow sooner or later. The latest report out of Reuters suggests the Korean electronics manufacturer will look to create a smartphone with a fingerprint scanner at some point in 2014. Fingerprint Cards' CEOÂ Johan Carlstrom let that much slip, noting that his company hoped to be one of the players OEMs looked to for components and development for the fingerprint scanners. We are obviously taking the report with a grain of salt, but it wouldn't be difficult to believe such a thing is in the works.

Diesel convoy burnoutfest is a unique way to remember a loved one
While many roadside tributes include crosses, signs and flowers, the friends and colleagues of Daniel Toops found a more unusual – yet seemingly fitting – way to honor him. Toops, the owner of Toops Performance in London, Ohio, passed away early Thanksgiving morning as the passenger in a single-vehicle accident, and on their way to his viewing, a convoy comprised almost exclusively of tuned diesel trucks stopped in front of Toops' shop with a soot-spewing, tire-smoking tribute which was all caught on video.

Is Honda working on airbags for smartphones?
Smartphones are expensive yet delicate - a single impact on a hard surface can shatter their touchscreens, often damaging them beyond repair. Fitting a case offers only so much protection, but what about an airbag. Honda has explored the concept with the airbag-equipped Case N and even made a video about it. But alas, it isn't real.
For some reason, we really want it to be.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Apparently Pegged For April 2014
It has been rumored a few times now that Samsung has made up its mind to release Galaxy S5 earlier than originally planned. It was said that the Korean manufacturer has made this decision because Galaxy S4 has not met its internal sales targets. While Samsung is yet to officially confirm anything about its flagship smartphone plans for 2014, famed technology reporter Eldar Murtazin claims that rumors of Galaxy S5 releasing in Q1, 2014 are false. According to him, next year's flagship Galaxy smartphone will be released in April.
Murtazin's timeline falls within the timeframe Samsung was initially believed to release Galaxy S5 in.

ROCCAT Ryos MK Glow mechanical gaming keyboard review
When it comes to PC gaming, one of the sounds you hate to hear is that “beep!” when you've pressed down too many keys. This is due to most average keyboards having a set number of keys allowed to be pressed at the same time. The way to combat this is to pick up a mechanical keyboard, such as the ROCCAT Ryos MK Glow gaming keyboard. Not only does it boast Cherry MX key switches, but also allows for up to 500 macros to be programmed, something I have heard of, but never used before. Let's see how well it worked.

HTC One successor could launch as early as February, according to UK Judge
Rumors surrounding the followup to the HTC One have circling the net these past weeks. With the future of HTC on somewhat shaky ground, some have been wondering on the timing of such a sequel — could HTC be planning to release a full fledged sequel sooner than the usual 12 month time frame. Or might a sequel get pushed back down the calendar in order to give the HTC One Max and One Mini a better chance to gain additional market share. Revealed in the aftermath of HTC's legal battle with Nokia (over, what else, but patents), some newly discovered court documents are giving us a better idea on what HTC could have planned.
