The LG Optimus G Pro, which is likely to be announced for US release at a May 1st press event, was always intended as an iterative release. It's specs were a decent upgrade over the Optimus G and the phone featured a larger 5.5-inch display, but a true flagship followup it was not. Now LG is teasing the real sequel for a Q3 2013 release. The phone, which will be released globally and could very well be known as the LG Optimus G2, was called “something different and something unique” by Won Kim, who leads the mobile marketing team from LG's headquarters in Seoul.
