Apple has made quite the interesting acquisition today as a company spokesperson confirmed with AllThingsD they have acquired Matcha for an undisclosed price, although VentureBeat values the acquisition somewhere between $1 million and $1.5 million. Matcha.tv was shuttered back in May, leaving many of its users to wonder why exactly they had dropped off the face of the Internet. Now that news of the acquisition has been made public, users of the service can finally rest easy to know they have been acquired by Apple.
