Samsung: Nexus 3 Tweet Based on Rumors, Not Facts

After letting what seemed to be the proverbial cat out of the bag via their Romanian Twitter yesterday, Samsung is backtracking on comments posted that indicated the company would manufacturer the next Nexus device and it would feature a Super AMOLED HD display. It turns out that the tweet wasn't intended as an announcement and was rather meant to engage in a conversation on current Nexus 3 rumors. In a response to our own Chris Chavez, Samsung Romania stated “We haven't got any info.”.

Man in China builds his own tablet

Man in China builds his own tablet

Despite the fact that Apple stores can be found in China, not everyone has the means of purchasing an Apple device. In fact we had reported a case where a boy in China sold his kidney to get enough money for an iPad 2, which was later followed up by another report where a girl was apparently trading her virginity for an iPhone 4. In a less dramatic scenario, instead of offering up body parts for sale, a man in China has decided to build his own iPad.

NEW GAME: Circ

NEW GAME: Circ

New Android game Circ is an interesting little thing. You are a space ship that orbits planets. One touch of the screen boosts you away from one planet and onto the next, so players sort of “chain” their way up the scrolling screen, bouncing between gravity fields. It's playable with one finger. It's free, We've been enjoying it a lot. This is what it looks like:

You need Adobe Air on your phone to install it, plus a device with a bit of OOMPH to do it justice.

Rumor: Apple Working on iPad ‘HD' With Retina

Apple's made a pretty big deal about its Retina Display for the iPhone 4 when it launched a year ago, but its 300+ dpi (326 dpi on the iPhone 4, to be exact) technology has yet to hit anything else other than the corresponding iPod touch. It was a little disappointing when the iPad 2 featured the same 1024×768 resolution as the original iPad, but now word is that Apple is prepping an iPad “HD” that will feature four times the resolution at 2048 x 1536. This is My Next‘s source says that the iPad HD may launch this fall alongside a professional app such as Final Cut or Aperture.
