NEC LifeTouch L unveiled: Android 4.0 tablet keeps it thin and light (video)

NEC LifeTouch L unveiled: Android 4.0 tablet keeps it thin and light (video)

Still looking for that perfect 10-inch Android tablet. Well here's another one slab aiming for your wallet. NEC's latest attempt is the LifeTouch L and lands in 16GB and 32GB sizes, with a business option (with unchanged hardware) on the sidelines. The consumer-facing models are set to arrive on July 5th, with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor running the Android 4.0-based show and despite a 10-inch (1280 x 800) display, it all weighs in at a gentle 540 grams (19 ounces). The tablet also slims down to just - and we mean just - under 8mm, or 7.99mm (0.31 inches) to be precise, putting it below even the svelte Toshiba Excite 10.

. Microsoft will hold a press conference on Monday to make a major product announcement, and the company did its best to ensure the topic of the evening's presentation was kept under wraps. In fact, Microsoft hasn't even shared the location of the event yet with publications that will be in attendance. A pair of early reports last week suggested that a Microsoft-branded Windows 8 tablet will be the focus of Monday's festivities, which are set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.

Apple to become most profitable company ever

Apple to become most profitable company ever

. As Apple's stock price continues its roller coaster ride after topping $600 earlier this year, one industry watcher believes the stock is currently in the bargain bin. Apple can already lay claim to the most profitable quarter in history among technology companies, and Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White on Monday wrote in a note to clients that Apple is currently on track to record the most profitable year ever among publicly traded companies.
“In CY12, we believe Apple is poised to generate the highest annual net income of any publicly traded company ever,” White wrote.

Rumor: Xbox 720 documents point towards future plans

Rumor: Xbox 720 documents point towards future plans

Funny how there was no Xbox 180 to spawn the Xbox 360 as its sequel, so why are we naming the next potential Xbox as the Xbox 720. It would get weird when the fourth generation model is called the Xbox 1.44k, no. Anyways, naming conventions and wisdom aside, some of the latest rumors concerning the next generation Xbox (which we will refer to as the Xbox 720 for the moment) hail from a two-year old set of documents, where it touts a list of what Microsoft has in mind for the next generation console. Some of the hardware updates involve a form of Xbox TV, although that has yet to be confirmed.

God of War: Ascension Collector's Edition spotted on Amazon

You know something. As the God of War, one really needs to take some time out and seek an anger management counsellor. After all, all of that pent up angst is not going to do anyone any good at all, especially when mortals and deities alike are on the receiving end of your wrath. Having said that, there is nothing better than a brutal hack and slash effort on your part to rid yourself of the week's pent up stress at the office, right there and then in the comfort of your living room.

Comic-Con International is right around the corner, and fans of "The Walking Dead" can look forward to seeing something special in San Diego this year. The comic is set to publish its 100th issue and has partnered with Hyundai to mark the occasion. Zombie guru and "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman designed a special Hyundai Elantra Coupe just for the show called the Hyundai Zombie Survival Machine. Design Craft went through the trouble of building a real-life representation of Kirkman's sketch, and the two-door will be on display at the Hyundai booth.
