Google+ integration comes to Flipboard

A nice piece of news was dropped at the LeWeb  conference in London. Google’s vice president of product management Bradley Horowitz announced that Google+ integration would be headed to Flipboard. This’ll give users of the Flipboard app access to their Google+ stream in order to sprinkle updates from your friends in with all the other updates.
This integration is possible thanks to an update to Google+’s APIs allowing users to access photos, video, and other media without having to visit the site itself.

We can’t say we aren’t excited, but we wondered why Google only allows this with Flipboard.

Mitsubishi promises Outlander plug-in hybrid for Paris *UPDATE

We've been waiting since the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show – when Mitsubishi first talked about the PX-MiEV, a plug-in CUV concept – for some sort of real-world plug-in Outlander. It looks like we're finally going to get our wish during the 2012 Paris Motor Show this fall. Today, Mitsubishi released the not-very-revealing teaser image you see above, and it says the plug-in Outlander will "share its architecture with the soon-to-be-introduced New Outlander's ICE versions." Mitsubishi also claims the Outlander will "be the first permanent 4WD electric car in series production.".

HTC acknowledges One X WiFi bug on Tegra 3 models

There's always some snag with these big flagship devices it seems. The iPhone 4 had antennagate, Verizon's Galaxy Nexus couldn't seem to stay connected and now the One X is joining the parade with some serious WiFi issues. Some users have complained of weak WiFi reception and, alarmingly, a rather odd fix. Simply squeezing the device in the right place could drastically improve signal strength indicating the issue may be hardware based. HTC has confirmed the issue and identified a fix that involves strengthening the connecting points on the phone's WiFi antenna.

Sharp unveils gargantuan 90-inch Aquos LED LCD HDTV

Following the "Feel UX" new UI that Sharp announced today, the Japanese consumer electronics company is also announcing the availability of its behemoth 90-inch Aquos LED LCD HDTV. If you think that you've seen one of these around, then it's probably the 80-inch Sharp AQUOS LC-80LE632U LED LCD TV that we wrote about last year. Apparently it looks like Sharp is ramping up the size of its TVs each year. The Aquos LC-90LE745U HDTV features a built-in Wi-Fi and Sharp's SmartCentral hub with access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, CinemaNow, and Vudu.
