Bugatti does up a special Vitesse for Lang Lang

Bugatti does up a special Vitesse for Lang Lang

It may be a bit of a stretch to find similarities between pianos and sportscars, but bear with us. Both are made to perform, both have pedals and wheels (albeit of radically different size), and both tend to cost around the same. Unless you're talking about a Bugatti, which would set you back more than any piano this side of a Bösendorfer with serious pedigree. Well, Bugatti has just drawn an even closer parallel with this latest edition of the Veyron Vitesse roadster. And not by applying some black lacquered trim pieces, either. When celebrated concert pianist Lang Lang visited the factory at Château St.

The Alin Accessory Will Put An End To Misaligned Screen Protectors

The Alin Accessory Will Put An End To Misaligned Screen Protectors

When it comes to applying screen protectors on your phone, it can be quite a nerve-wracking moment because one wrong move and your screen protector is essentially ruined, and to be honest those things do not come cheap. What happens is usually a rushed job which ends up with the screen protector being a little out of alignment, which for the OCD in us can be extremely frustrating, but that's where TYLT's Alin comes in. Short for "alignment", this is essentially a little plastic gadget that you can use to clamp onto the edge of the iPhone 5 which provides you with a ridge that will let you place the screen protector on the phone perfectly.

Playing video games on Xi3's Piston living room PC / game console

Playing video games on Xi3's Piston living room PC / game console

Right off the bat, running games on the Piston - like with all PCs - is a varying experience. Lighter games, resource-wise, don't encounter any real issues. The heavier it gets, though, the more the seams show. The first seams I saw on Piston were in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. After some healthy graphics tweaking, the game ran full screen at just below 30 fps. While assuredly playable, and likely a touch more impressive looking than its console cousin, Black Ops 2 seemed to test the machine's limits.

Nokia Glee is the Lumia 525, to star the next WP budget line-up

Nokia Glee is the Lumia 525, to star the next WP budget line-up

The Nokia Lumia 525 is the official name of the recently rumored Nokia Glee, according to a tweet by evleaks. The Lumia 525 is the replacement of the hugely successful Lumia 520 and, naturally, is going to be a budget Windows Phone handset. The Nokia Lumia 520 was launched in February this year and is one of the reasons Windows Phone marks a growth in its market share in Europe.
As a result, The Nokia Lumia 525 is going to aim and build on the foundation that the Lumia 520 has set throughout the year. Happily, the phone has undergone the popular GFXBenchmark test suite, which gives us a glimpse at its specs.

Shed a little extra light on the subject with the Pocket Reflector

Shed a little extra light on the subject with the Pocket Reflector

Smart phones seem to be the camera most frequently used these days.  Many of them have weak flashes that don't do as good a job illuminating your subject as you'd like.  The Pocket Reflector, available from Photojojo, is a portable light reflector that directs extra light onto your subject for a better photo.  It folds up into a 5″ pouch that's small enough to fit in a pocket or bag, and it unfurls into a 12″ circle.  One side is silver, to reflect bright, concentrated light for a spotlight effect; the other side is white, for a a more diffuse, natural looking effect.

Belkin Dual Car Charger with Lightning to USB Cable review

Belkin Dual Car Charger with Lightning to USB Cable review

Getting power on the go used to mean carrying a bag-phone the size of a large loaf of bread and a power port plug to keep it juiced. Nowadays, we have much better battery chemistry, but for us power-users, the battery in a gadget may not last through a full day of use. If you're spending any time in a vehicle with a 12-volt power system, plugging in an adapter to get a midday top-up can mean the difference between missing messages and easily making it through the day. The Gadgeteer team was offered the Dual Car Charger with Lightning to USB Cable from Belkin, and I was selected to get it.
