Nokia Android prototype reportedly is still into production

Nokia Android prototype reportedly is still into production

Last week the New York Times revealed that Nokia has indeed worked on an Android smartphone as an alternative to the Microsoft partnership prior to the acquisition announcement. As it turns out, the Finns haven't completely scraped the Android project and are still working on an Android smartphone. The report comes from a Weibo account CTechnology, which has generally been a reputable source of leaks from China.

Amazon Lockers Removed From Staples And RadioShack Stores

Amazon Lockers Removed From Staples And RadioShack Stores

There is this particular saying, keep your friends close, and your enemies, closer. I suppose that makes sense since it would bode you well to know just what the heck is your nemesis up to. However, the folks over at Staples as well as RadioShack decided otherwise – and with good sense, too, to remove all Amazon Lockers that are currently placed in their stores. It does amaze me as to why no one thought about this before, not to place Amazon Lockers, one of your toughest competitors in the market, within the confines of your own stores.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3 now available for pre-order, $200 down and $21 a month

True to T-Mobile's press release that was sent out a few days ago, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is now officially up for pre-order online. The latest Samsung's phablet (hey, the word is in the dictionary now), the leather-bound Note 3 will set customers back a cool $200 initially, with $21 monthly payments spanning across 24 months. Of course, you could always just scrounge up some change from your couch cushions and pay the full $704 straight up, but you'll need to do a lot of digging. Keep in mind that this is an actual honest to goodness pre-order, not some kind of generic signup page.

If you're planning on picking up the Nokia Lumia 925, you might to think about hitting up the Microsoft Store instead of your carrier. The reason is because as you can see from the screenshot above, the Microsoft Store will offering the handset on contract via AT&T or T-Mobile, but at the same time will throw in a free wireless charging case for those of you who enjoy the wireless charging capability of your phone. The case is valued at $39 and the phone itself is priced starting at $99 along with a two-year contract from either carrier.

Verizon gives us more details on Nexus 7 (2013) LTE certification process, says testing almost complete

Yesterday, the internet was in a tizzy over Verizon's refusal to activate the newly purchased Nexus 7 (2013) LTEs on their network. For many, this didn't make much sense on the surface (especially given the deal they made with the FCC in which they promised “open access” to their 700MHz spectrum), but Verizon has taken to their blog to help clear the air. First up, while the Nexus 7 LTE isn't currently “Verizon certified”, the device was entered into Verizon's certification process back in August.

Tesla To Build Car With "Auto-Pilot" Mode In Next Three Years

Tesla has decided to enter into the self-driving car race, after various companies such as Google and Nissan have already detailed their plans. The company is going to produce a car that is capable of running on “auto-pilot” within the next three years. According to Tesla's CEO Elon Musk, the system will take over 90 percent of the control of the car, adding that it would take longer for fully autonomous cars to be developed. Musk says that they will develop the technology in-house.
