This is a bit of a kick in the guts for Verizon customers who bought the phone in good faith, that they would receive the Gingerbread update eventually. Whatever happened when the initial rollout started, some users had a bad experience, the update has been with held for further testing. As with any OTA update there are always risks associated with connection quality, network coverage etc; for the update to start and then be pulled indicates any amount of problems.
