MetroPCS is getting ready to launch a new LG Optimus Android smartphone, after the Optimus M, launched at the end of 2010, and based on the popular Optimus One. Reportedly called LG Optimus M+, the new handset isn't a high-end device. But that was expected, since the original Optimus M isn't, either. The Optimus M+ borrows some design elements from LG's new L-Style smartphones, showcased in Barcelona at MWC 2012 last month . It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and features a 3.5 inch HVGA display, Bluetooth 3.0, 5MP rear camera with Flash, and an 800MHz processor.
There's no word on exactly when MetroPCS will start selling the LG Optimus M+.
