A few weeks ago, we told you that the Huawei Ascend P1 would become available starting this month. Today, the handset has been launched in China, being officially priced at 2,999 CNY (about $475). In addition, Huawei has announced that the P1 would be released in other markets (including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia) "by May 2012" - thus before the end of April. Europe and Latin America will get the device, too, but only starting June.
Measuring 127.4 x 64.8 x 7.69 mm, the Huawei Ascend P1 is one of the thinnest smartphones ever made.
