Although Symbian is dead, and sales of Symbian - now Belle - smartphones are plummeting, Nokia is still committed to offering software updates for them. Three of the company's Belle handsets, which were introduced in the second half of 2011, are now getting updates to Belle FP1 (Feature Pack 1) in Asia. The handsets are the Nokia 700, Nokia 701, and Nokia 603.
Belle FP1 includes both software, and hardware enhancements. For example, the CPU speed of the 700, 701, and 603 has been bumped from 1GHz to 1.3GHz.
