Newtec Clean Channel Technology™ Receives Authorisation for Communications Over Intelsat Satellites

SINT-NIKLAAS, Belgium, 21 May 2012 Satellite specialist Newtec has received authorisation from Intelsat, S.A., the world’s leading provider of satellite services, for use of its Clean Channel Technology™ (CCT) on Intelsat satellites.CCT is Newtec’s first step toward extending the current DVB-S2 digital signal transmission standard. The technology further improves satellite transmission efficiency by up to 15 per cent compared to the current DVB-S2 standard for IP trunking, backhauling, government networks and broadcast contribution.
