In May this year, we said that the Optimus Vu, a 5-inch device running Android, will be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich. We also mentioned that the device will get several additional features that will take advantage of the extra-wide dimensions of the phone. But apparently it took LG a month to fulfill its promise. Today, LG is announcing that the 5-inch “phablet” will be getting a “Value Pack” upgrade, finally bringing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the device as well as a slew of LG-specific tweaks to its note taking features, UI 3.0 and Quick Voice search.
