Our smartphones and tablets come with data plans which allows us to be connected while on the go (assuming we have network coverage), so why shouldn't vehicles in the future come with data plans as well. With car infotainment systems starting to feature more integration with our smartphones, we wouldn't be surprised if sending emails, checking Facebook, sending out tweets and surfing the web become commonplace and an expected feature of the car, much like radio systems. That being said, if you're looking for a connected car in the future, Verizon may very well be your car's network provider.
