. Just as Richard Nixon once touted a secret plan to end the Vietnam War, so too has Nokia acknowledged a secret plan to stay in business should its commitment to Windows Phone go bust. Per IntoMobile, Nokia chairman Risto Siilasmaa told Finnish television station YLE last week that the company does have a contingency plan in place in case Windows Phone never catches on although he declined to elaborate on just what that contingency plan would be. Siilasmaa went on to say that Nokia still fully expects Windows Phone to be a success and praised Nokia CEO Stephen Elop for his “good and transparent” leadership style.
