. As consumers across the U.S. patiently await the arrival of the iPhone 5, Verizon Wireless (VZ) on Thursday flipped the LTE switch on in 19 new markets across the country. In addition, the nation's largest carrier also expanded its high-speed network in 20 existing markets. Verizon's 4G LTE network now covers more than 75% of the U.S. population and has more coverage than all other U.S. carriers combined. The company intends to blanket more than 400 markets throughout the country with its 4G LTE network by the end of 2012.
